Homemade cards were, and still are, the key to my family’s hearts. The ‘no shop-bought cards in our household’ tradition was the catalyst for my love of personal pen-and-watercolour art. The birthday cards turned into drawings of my friend’s houses, pet portraits, and eventually graphic design and drawing on an iPad.
